Dealer Customized Camaro

I'm kind of a lurker on here, but I do check the boards often and I haven't really seen anything like this. Anyway on the way to Dairy Queen took a short cut through the I-80 Auto mall and this caught my eye.

The nose just doesn't flow that well to me, but they did a really nice job with the custom work and it looks pretty sharp. I thought you guys might like to see it...

Yes, the workmanship is probably nice, but I don't agree with it overall.

Besides heritage, why does this car have a 396 badge?

No idea that's what stuck out to me right away other than the nose looking like it was smushed on there.

Hideous - especially the rear. $100,000?

BUT, someone will like it, and buy it....for some reason.

If they enjoy it....well, then they are crazy, but they are enjoying it.

I dont think theres 1 aftermarket body modification (Jay Leno Camaro and Camaro Dusk 100% excluded ) , including GM's, that compliments the 5th gen , this one is maybe the most hideous , lol. Note to aftermarket companies , please just stop butchering this car .

$94k Why do dealers do this? Now this is one odd ball looking Camaro that the majority of people shopping this dealer will stop, glance at for a second and say on their way to an untouched 5th gen. That's if they don't fall over laughing from noticing the price. The New Camaro look's great the way it is. Older Camaros look great the way they are. The combination of these different models put together though the effort is sky high just looks wrong.

For $94K you could by a restored 69 Camaro and drop in an LS7 crate motor and still have enough left over to fuel it for a year... and then some.

that would be a much better way to go about mixing these generations. even putting a little bit of 5th gen interior, like seats on the 1st gen would be better than buying this car.

I guess I'm in the minority when I say it doesn't look THAT bad - though I'm definitely not a fan of the rear, the 1st Gen replica front integrates pretty seamlessly. The craftmanship appears top-notch, but as everyone else said the sticker price is laughable and makes the whole process not worth it.

FYI - it looks like the dealer also lowered it and installed a supercharger, so you are getting a little more than just a "uniquely" styled 5th Gen for your $94k.
