Dealer mark up?

Dealer mark up?
Since General motors is in financial trouble does it now make any fiscal sense for dealers to now sale the camaro with markups seeing how there futures are tied to gm's successa?

I ordered mine this past Saturday. They reported having ordered several at $5,000 over MSRP. He said they were only allocated for 12 total. Since I buy a new vehicle every year and get the GM supplier discount they agreed to sell it to me MSRP. They may have been "jerking my chain" but I have been dealing with the same salesman for years.

Maybe some. I ordered mine in Florida 12 Dec - today and the 2LT base was 26,580...which is a little less than the Camaro Builder. All the options I got were the same as. So it will depend on the dealer I think.

I ordered mine today and they sold it at at msrp it was and 2ss and started at 33k. I've seen it sell for 34k as msrp in some other states. Dealer cost is 31k so they aren't making too much at the dealer. I'm surprised since some of the challengers went for more then 5k over msrp around here.

Anyone that pays over MSRP is totally brain dead & gets what they deserve. Ripped Off!

I have been to 2 different dealers in houston and while both of them tried to add $1000 to MSRP they both agreed to sell it at MSRP. Has anyone had any luck on haggling prices of these different options? I know I cant get the car any cheaper then msrp but what about all the different options, i mean the dealer is making money off of them too.

Go to a different dealership. There are plenty that will sell it to you at the regular supplier discount price.
