DRL question

DRL question
I have a 2SS RS and I was wondering if anyone has figured out how to gain control of the DRL's so that they can be on all the time or turned on will in other Light Switch positions?

Me too but I'd like the driving light look and think that it would be awesome with both Halo and DRL's on . . .
Some have mentioned a color diff between them but that can be corrected with a different Halogen bulb or HID's like they have done with the C6.

They go off as soon as your lights come on in Auto Mode or as soon as you move the switch off Auto Mode to Halo/Parking Mode or Full On Mode.
I'd like to be able to leave them on all the time or turn them on and off while in Halo/Parking Mode.

i dont think it would be too hard to put a switch in if you know anything about wiring. find the day time running light wire and disconnect it and run a switch to it. then you should be able to run it whenever you want.

Why can't you use the **** on the dash to override?

I think that if you put a non RS switch in and run down the DLR wire, you should be able to splice a power wire from the switch to the DLR wire to override the DRL shut on Halo light up. Guess I'll have to investigate since noone else has tried . . .

Exacto . . . one of the penalties of the RS package.

Driving with the halos, or as we call them, "the cool lights" by themselves, are what makes the car look so good.
Running two different kind of lights, the halos and fog/DRLs together = "not so cool".

True enough but the they are not brite enoughas it gets darker plus the "Cool Lights" get lost when the HID's come on.

i found a HID kit for any kind of light. you could use it for the fog lights or running lights if you put them on a switch. it would make them look like the same brightness as the halo and HID lights. my buddy put a set on a lexus is250. it comes with a ballast for each light. he has it on the headlights and the fog lights. the head lights were bright as hell. then last night we put them on the fog lights. HOLLY $HIT!!! it was freaking bright! ony cost him about 60 a pair. the fog/ headlight combo is actually better than running the brights.
