Early Camaro SS manual transmission failures reported, factory hold issued

Source? I'm just curious, because Tremec on lists one TR-6060. While they don't list specs on it, they list specs for the T-56 Magnum, which they say is the aftermarket equivilant and is tested to 700 lbs.

First example is the TR6060 used on the 2010 SS M6 and you can see it's listed as a M10 variant with rated power of 430 ft/lbs

Second example is a GM Press release that talks about the TR6060 upgrades for the 2009 MY for the Corvette. Note that in the overview section they talk about the ZR1 using the MH3 variant validated to 620ft/lbs and the CTS-V using the MG9 variant validated to 560 ft/lbs.

This article on the ZR1 from GMHTP talks about the changes made to the TR6060 (MH3) for the torque and power of the LS9 and yet they go on to say even with the changes the trans feels just like all the other TR6060's in their lineup.

Lastly here is a quick listing of all engine-trans combos offered by GM. At the bottom of the page it shows that all the different TR6060's offered for just for the LS3 manual trans. Camaro SS has the M10, while in the C6 coupe/convert- MM6, C6 Grand Sport coupe/convert- MZ6.
-The T56 Magnum and aftemarket non-OEM TR6060's I'm sure are more stout than what's in the production cars but as with everything else the price tag is higher too.
