Lets face it, if simulation was good enough we'd all have a blow up doll and not put up with the b*tch but it just doesn't fly."
But anyway, I guess as long as they do some real deal structrual testing to go along with the simulation its ok.

We can't believe the media and we can't decide which "insider" here has the real scoop, so should we just "keep the faith" and it will happen when it happens?
Looks like its curtain number 3 again, Monty.

Mr. Cosby......
Let me ask you something........
Have I lied to you yet?
The answer is "no".....and there's a reason for that. The reason is that I don't intend to die tomorrow.
I learned a long time ago on the knee of my grandfather (Good ole C.C. Henry) that a person's reputation is everything. If I lie to you and others on this board, I'm no longer the person I should be.
Therefore.....all I can say is 'trust me' ......and NO, I'm not gonna spill the beans (unless you give me a bullet-proof agreement to support me in the manner to which I'd like to be accustomed to for the rest of my life......)
I guess what I'm saying here is twofold:
1. If I tell you something, I hope you'll believe me because reputation is everything to me
2. Stop with the 'winkie' club rountine. While I lose my patience sometimes with the misinformation from 'insiders' that shouldn't be talking to some of our members, I gotta give our members credit for their persistence!

A related question for those who know technical possibilities:
Say the top end engine is something less than an LS7 and I have my heart set on an LS7. Assuming I could afford it, would it be technically possible to put one in if I got my dealer to order it? Would the drive-train etc. have to be upgraded too? A salesman at my dealer told me this may be possible but didn't know for sure.
I'm thinking of the 427's ordered and installed in a few, now very valuable, 1st gens.

Too lazy to search for ya, but the thread title is "Making the case for LS3"

If they can do that with an airplane - 10 years ago, then I don't think we have anything to worry about today with digital simulation of an automobile.

I believe we'll start seeing spy pics of the Camaro on the road by early 2007.
And Holden, well heck. They are almost a small version of GM themselves. Not even Saab does as much independent development as Holden does. Holden seems to blaze trails and do their own thing, and do it quite well.
Holden's concepts are purely Holden - when's the last time you saw a Chevy/Pontiac/Buick/Saturn/GMC concept that wasn't called a GM concept? GM seems to build a parts shop, and Chevy/Pontiac/Buick/Saturn/GMC fight amongst one another to see who gets what from the parts bin. Holden however, doesn't seem to be connected to GM's umbilical cord. About the only thing that Holden grabs from GM is LSx engines and transmissions.
