It's sad that people get paid for writing that kind of material. It's obvious the author has a personal agenda. It's lucky that I'm not that author's boss because he would definitely be a 'has been journalist' under my watch.

This guy is obviously biased to say the least. It P#$%'s me off so bad I can't even read the whole thing. What I was able to read was not grounded in anything more than obvious hatered for American car companies

Having said that. I love my Camaro, the 2010 camaro, the Volt, Our planet and Our Country(not necessarily in that order). The thing that make me the angriest about this guy is that he is lying through his teeth to push some biased BS agenda and using an MO that only strengthens peoples hatred, and enforces negative stereotypes. What he does not realize is that he does more harm than good, or now that I think of it, that was probably what he wanted to begin with.

I'm disappointed that he played the 'if you like the Camaro you must not be educated' card. He's trying so hard to be edgy, but rehashing the same jabs that have been around since 1984.

But my tax dollars will be feeding him when he's unemployed in a few months. Maybe he should be nicer to me.

highly doubt he gets paid he's probably syndicated and he definitely is a has been but the other funny thing he mentioned was about electric cars why do people think that electric is so damn clean has an electrician (and a person with a brain on his redneck clad shoulders) electricity comes from a plant that produces a s@#t load of carbon emissions

This person, is in serious need of evaluation. How can they even let a moron like that write articles?

You have got to be kidding me

I think GM has a winner, but it took too long to get it out! Just look at the Mustang production numbers. When GM went to a front wheel drive platform what sold well? Trucks and SUVs’, yes Americans are spoiled and over consuming without question, but the manufactures need to build what sells. Whoever wrote this article obviously love's no power cars. That is ok for some but not for others, it’s called freedom, the right to choose. The car looks great, the price is a little on the high side and I understand the quality is there except for the interior dash board. The sales numbers will tell the truth, period!

After reading the garbage that he called an article I went ahead and wrote him a letter basically tossing his credibility out the window. I kept it as formal as I could (no name calling or direct insults) and let him know that his research was less than adequate. Now I'm not a good writer by any means but I think I may have gotten to him a little bit because he actually emailed me back. This is what he wrote :

Thanks for the feedback, Shaun. Unfortunately for me, but VERY fortunately
for you, there is no rule that states you need to be all that intelligent to
go online and read my column, or any major news media at all, for that
matter. However, I do try to insist you at the very least have a primitive
understanding of the difference between a simpleminded car review, and broad
and more multifaceted social and cultural criticism and commentary.

In which case, I must insist you never write to me again until you
acknowledge, if not fully understand, the difference.

Bye now

mm

I like how he decides to attack my person rather than to defend his article. What grade is this? Maybe I should reply with some Momma jokes.

Not really. This guy is nothing more than a shock writer and deserves no more attention.

Hahahahahah! I am not one bit surprised. So he himself admits that it is a "social" statement masked as a car review. Of course, he picked the Camaro because it is an easy target with every publication reviewing it. Isn't there better things to focus negative energy on other than a piece of machinery? How about ALLLL those problems that California reportedly has...border problems, money problems, prison problems, welfare problems... Just stating possible examples that may be better focal points, not meaning to single out California.

Why pick a car to focus on? How is ripping a FUN, AMERICAN icon that he has no understanding of going to benefit anything?

That's fine, everyone has a right to their thoughts but I find it extremely misdirected and I see no way to change the author's perspectives on it, even with logic and fact. I am done putting focus on his article myself, and moving on with my life, looking forward to enjoying my new Camaro.

[Vinny Gambini]I'm finished with this guy.[/Vinny Gambini]

Remember, please don't visit his/the site, more traffic means more $$$ and attention and that's what they want.

It may be interesting if someone were to point this out to him though:

It occured to me last night while watching the final ER episode last night. A commercial for some new Toyota came on and I though "Wow never heard of that before, and here it is on the market already." Has there EVER been such a highly anticipated car that generated the kind of interest where numerous web sites were dedicated to it years before it was even being made and still in the concept phase? Where there were people all over the world dying to know the latest detail and sweating over every single little aspect of the car long before it was a reality? I'll bet not. He must be upset due to how horribly outnumbered he is with his closed minded and uninformed opinions.

Good point. OP, can you remove your link and just give text credit to the SFGate?
