Fairly negative article on the new Camaro
#32
Hahahahahah! I am not one bit surprised. So he himself admits that it is a "social" statement masked as a car review. Of course, he picked the Camaro because it is an easy target with every publication reviewing it. Isn't there better thing focus negative energy on other than a piece of machinery? How about ALLLL those problems that California reportedly has...border problems, money problems, prison problems, welfare problems... Just stating possible examples that may be better focal points, not meaning to single out California.
Why pick a car to focus on? How is ripping a FUN, AMERICAN icon that he has no understanding of going to benefit anything?
That's fine, everyone has a right to their thoughts but I find it extremely misdirected and I see no way to change the author's perspectives on it, even with logic and fact. I am done putting focus on his article myself, and moving on with my life, looking forward to enjoying my new Camaro.

On that note, the '10 Camaro is a winner!

And the San Francisco Chronicle (the periodical that owns SFGate.com) wonders why they are losing readership and why they are considering bankruptcy protection? I stopped subscribing to the Chronicle years ago. While I consider myself a liberal, even I was taken back by the paper's hard line bias toward anything and everything they cannot or do not understand.
The sad part is that the SF Chronicle hosts the San Francisco International Auto Show each November. You'd think they have real car people and understand the automotive industry. Fortunately for those of us living in the SF Bay Area we have the San Jose Mercury and their affiliate papers, which have a Friday "Drive" section that does a halfway decent job of covering the automotive industry. Not the best, but certainly they understand auto enthusiasts.

The folks in SF with a bone to pick with capitalism, US industry, and that view personal transportation as evil? They show up in force. Must have something to do with a "protester" mentality some in the area believe is their calling.
For a place that seems to want to shed capitalism... well, food prices are very high at the huge number of restaurants that thrive there...
San Fran also get my vote a having the most aggressive panhandlers on the planet.

Bad day? Try having a bad life. Can't imagine living a life filled with that much **** and vinegar. What a waste.

Put me in the hunker down and talk to no one category. To be honest I've been disappointed with Chevrolet's line-up the last two years. But then I was hoping to see the real Camaro concept (not the fiberglass roller) and Bumblebee or the Camaro convertible concept (not the fiberglass roller) each time. At least it got me to get up close and personable with the Malibu and Silverado/Tahoe and I have to say I was impressed.

I was in SF 2 years ago when we displayed the red fiberglass roller. It wasn't there because we didn't want to show what we have. It was a roller because it was what was available at the time. It was the best we could offer at the time. We had it there for folks such as yourself.
