That was my question. I would think his doctor would strongly encourage it. Let's get those 1,000 F-bodies to Bowling Green stat!!!

At any rate, here's to a quick recovery Scott.

EVERYONE on all of the Camaro/Firebird boards needs to help us pound into Scott's head that he HAS to STOP smoking!!

Thank goodness the DR. found this in time and has "fixed" it ...for now at least.

I am not sure if anyone did, but it won't help the situation plus has has been wanting to stop for a long time. Having that kind of operation and continuining to smoke wouldn't exactly be the best choice.

Smoking and cardiovascular disease
Smoking also increases the chance of heart disease. Several ingredients of tobacco lead to the narrowing of blood vessels, increasing the likelihood of a blockage, and thus a heart attack or stroke. According to a study by an international team of researchers, people under 40 are five times more likely to have a heart attack if they smoke [8].

Other tobacco chemicals lead to high blood pressure. Also, some chemicals may damage the inside of arteries, for example making it possible for cholesterol to adhere to the artery wall, possibly leading to a heart attack.

The best answer is "a lot". No exaggeration there, he basically chain smoked.

I am smoke free (again) as of one month ago yesterday, and have no desire to go back this time. I am going to make it this time, and I explained to Scott how I did it. Hope it works for him like it worked for me.

Man, that sucks. Get well soon Scott. Ya gotta take better care of yourself. It's not that hard, try a substitute, hard candy, altoids, tic tacs, anything, for the love of humanity man. STOP smoking! If I could do it, anyone can. You just have got to REALLY want to STOP! It's all about will power, everyone has it, they just have to find it.
