I am 61 years old with a very nice 4th gen vert. All the while I said the 5th gen is nice but I won't buy one,no real need to.Having seen the pics of this and the red one I may have to change my mind. This seems to be a VERY NICE car. It's too bad that people on this board have to be so picky and negative all the time."Back in the day" when you knew a car was coming out,you waited, you went to the dealer and saw it in person. If you liked it you bought it ,if not you bought something else.I wish people on this board would adopt the "old school" way and stop whinning about every little thing as if it mattered. We've waited 8 years for this car, embrace the moment and enjoy it! Life is too short. In spite what you think GM knows how to build and sell cars.

I agree with you 100%. the internet definately adds a strange element to this whole thing. if not for the internet we may have seen a concept pic or two a few years ago, forgotten about it then saw the real thing where we were then able to form an opinion without having to spend 3 years looking at every little development where the car is shown less than presentable. it's like seeing a supermodel without her make up

It's funny - when the GT500 first came out and I saw the first one on the road, at first I thought it was a V6 Mustang with stripes driving toward me because it looks so chincy and cheap.

The new Camaro looks to be the exact opposite. The base V6 looks like a top of the line V8 musclecar. It looks like it will actually be a really nice car. Ford had a pretty good looking Mustang concept before the production '05 came out, but they really cheapend up the production version. Chev did a great job of NOT doing that. The base V6 looks almost identical to the concept Camaro.

GM put a lot of thought and effort into the Camaro and it shows. It's like Dodge did a "Foose Challenger" and took a '70s Challenger, put bigger rims on it, and put new Charger seats in it. Cool looking car, but no creativity what-so-ever. Maybe that's why the Challenger is on the streets already and we still have to wait another 6 months for the Camaro.

The Camaro looks like what today's Camaro should look like. It's not a retro copy of a '69. There's artistic thought and creativity there. I think it's worth the wait.

This car looks amazing! The more I see it, the more I want it. I can't wait to get one! Anybody notice how big those mufflers are? They must weight 50 lbs. each! LOL
