A few pics and thoughts from Houston.

Let me first say that I have loved every picture I have seen of the concept, but you MUST see it in person. I decided that I do in fact enjoy the rear of the car, I think it fits really well, although it think it could benefit from a more accentuated spoiler, ala 1st gen style:

Thanks guys! Like Guy said, in person the car looks much more modern than the pictures let on. The spokesperson was actually much more informed than I assumed she would be (not because she was a she, but because they usually arent). She actually recognized what an F-body was from my f-body club t-shirt.

I may be wrong, but it seems like your pictures are showing me more what the concept really looks like in person. Plus I'm kind of partial to red

the one in LA said she was an engineer from detroit I think. i'm glad GM is putting their more knoledgable people to showcase this car. Ford's Shelby display guy read the script well, and answered some questions but you could tell it was just a job to him. the GM people at the show seem to be into what they are doing/displaying. i like that.

I'm guessing that the Dallas show will also get the red one. Good, I think red looks a little better in the pics than the silver does.

actually, we do have a few retired engineers working as product specialists......and I'm pleased to hear the great comments about our product presenters.......it's very important that they take good care of our guests within the Chevy Exhibit.

Dallas will get the Silver Concept. The Red looks great, but the Silver car shows more of the body detail...thus the reason for the silver paint.

Yes!

Silver usually is the best color for showing off lines and creases... the darker colours tend to disguise them e.g. Bangle BMWs look better in the darker shades because they disguise the hideous and unusual lines around the trunk section.

Btw, I am partial to quicksilver (my SS Commodore is in that color).

Which concept will Cleveland be getting at the end of this month? I'm hoping for the silver one.

Godfadda, I don't suppose I will be seeing either concepts at the Jacksonville show this week? To bad, because if you spent any amount of time on the roads down here, you'd see Mustangs and Camaros and Firebirds all over the place. Pony cars sell (sold) very well here. I would think someone in the bean counting department would have known that and made sure we got to see the concept in person so we can all line up and place our order, so to speak. I understand Jax isn't a major city in the eyes of GM, but sales had to be high here of previous f-bodies in the past. No lie, there are TONS of them here.
