Few questions about concept

For those who saw the car in Detroit: steel or plastic body panels, did anyone mention the car's weight or what type of chassis the concept was built on? GM's media website left these items off of the press release.

The concept was heavily based on Sigma. I couldn't anyone to comment on weight though. Believe me, I asked.

Lutz hinted at in one of the videos you can see at gmtv that it has plastic body parts.

I have an article when the 4th gen came out--said they'd never do plastic again.

I got an article from Motor Trend that said that too. Said that at the time it was cost effective, but by the time production came around it wasn't so cheap anymore. Besides, using plastic will not help with their goals with perceived quality, as the body panel gaps that allow expanding just won't do. Look at Saturn, that's why they are moving to steel panels.

Car was fiberglass entirely is what i heard. Concept that is. Heard they intend on going back to metal panels today at one point walking by a group...

Yup, He did say that to keep the price down to where we would buy it. He was saying something if they make this (dam well better) The V8 models would be like 25-30k? The base V6 would be close or around 20k. Having SOME plastic cost would lower the price to where we would want it. No worry wont be like are 4th gens with plastic all over the place.
