I've got an order number but the salesman at the dealer doesn't know how to tell me the build code. Can someone tell me the number to call that is mentioned above? I'm not confident that my order has been accepted. The salesman said it is but he had no clue about event codes.

my car status is at 4b008. what does the 008 mean?

monza, print out the status codes and give it to your dealer and have him show you what stage your order is at. if you just placed the order the odds are its at an 1100. talk to the sales manager if your salesman doesnt know anything.

4D00 actually means "On Hold QC". I'm not sure what's up with that.

Friday I was told that my car was at status 4D00 and on hold with QC. I was very specific asking if they were sure it wasn't 4B00 and they said no, 4D00. But today I went to the dealership and got a printout of my event history and there is no mention of 4D00. On 5/28/2009 it went 3800, 4000, 4150, and finally 4B00.

It's so hard to find good information about the status of my car.

Order Progress

Hello All, I'm new here- have been lurking for a few weeks. This is a great site and seems to have ten times the information that my dealer has.

Can someone share the number or website that can be used to check order status. Do I need anything other than my order number which strangely is all letters..

Thanks in advance,
Rick

There is no website to use sorry. You can call GM customer service(I think) but I do not remember the number. I imagine it is like any other customer service also where you will be waiting forever.

If you have access to a GM work bench you have access. Mostly for commercial or fleet buyers. There is a site for this other then those also.

Don't you have to be(work for) a dealer to have access to workbench?

1-800-950-CHEV

I used this general customer service number to check and they were able to give me event codes. They gave me as much as the dealer did at any given point in time.
