sorry nexus, not trying to imply anything. I just think some (not necessarily you) read too much into the pictures we are seeing now, especially considering the nature of the cars, not being saleable units and all that. It goes back to - let's evaluate these cars when we can look one over at a dealership.
Its normal on hinged objects because of opening/closing.
For example... the bumper to fender gap on a 95 Lexus im starting at is almost unnoticeable.
Little details like that can make a car look cheaper and I was hoping this car ends up with good attention to detail, thats all.

Its just an unfortunate place to have a butted gap that wide.

Believe me, if any here can see a gap, GM sees the gap. I have learned a ton from line personel and QA-QC people from auto plants. A good indicator of folks that know assembly? The look at a vehicle with their fingertips... Gaps on preprod examples are not an issue to be worried about.

I know I've said this before, but I owned the 111th Pontiac Solstice that rolled off the production assembly line and I was not all that happy with the fit and finish. Hopefully the Camaro works those issues out in preproduction.

The aftermarket will work something out if the GM bracket is offensive. I got a removeable one for my '08. the only permanently affixed part is hidden in the underside of the grille opening. When I want to run the plate, it sits over the grille, not over the bumper the way the GM bracket would. The Camaro front end looks like it could support a similar style.

edit: didn't that silver SS pic have the lower grill more like the concepts?

Seems to be the same front fascia on all the recent released and spy pics taken. The lower airdam is changed a bit in shape and the grille over it is more exposed. Also there is a body crease now between the fog-lights and headlights and the revised chin spoiler wraps around the side as opposed to terminating cleanly under the fog lamps on the concept vehicles and most all mules before these latest pics.
