Did they? Or are they just trying to get ready to compete

Either way, sounds like good news to me! The more power the mustang has, the more the camaro will have. Let Ford raise the #s all they want

Didn't sound to me from the article like they were planning on using it in the 'Stang, but horsepower wars are good for the general, you're right. Nobody else can hang!

Man, I bet there are a lot of guys with mid 90s Mustangs that would love to have the power from that V6 over their V8.

The article didn't mention Mustangs at all. Hmmm.

The article may not mention Mustangs, but how long until Ford ends up putting it in there.

Hope that GM v6 is coming along nicely.

Would this even be a base Mustang motor?

Not just for the Mustang vs Camaro, I am glad that Ford is getting new and competitive mills in their products. As much as I like to bash the Mustang, I want to see it, and the rest of FoMoCo's offerings be competitive. Lord knows the domestic manufacturers have taken some hits (partly of their own doing), it's good to see some quality coming out of Dearborn.

Re: Ford sets bar for Camaro V6.

I would have a hard time passing on a 3.5L in a Fusion or Milan for ~$23k. If Ford can pull things like that off, I think they will take the sales crown back from Chevy. This is assuming the NG Malibu stays "on the shelf."
