Why? You don't think Ford has a pretty good idea what the base Camaro is going to have?

I'll still take an Aura cause GM still owns Ford for styling.

Numbers on paper are on thing--I want to see how this Ford 3.5L performs.
About time they put out a decent V6

Clicky

Well, I'll probably get flamed for this but...The new Ecotec which puts out almost equal power to the new V6 from Ford.

If that's their premium offering for a sedan or something, I just dont see the Mustang getting it. Maybe it will...

Mustang is one of Ford's most important vehicles. Why wouldn't they want to make sure it stays competitive? Economies of scale make sense of using this motor and derivatives wherever possible.

It has a Turbo and uses premium instead of 87 octane. Although in a midsize sedan, I'll take either engine.

Back when this gen came out, they said the Duratec was supposed to replace the current V6. But plans cna change, so that is why I would like more information. This motor really won't be too outlandish for the Mustang as the base motor.

It's commonly known the current 500 was supposed to have this engine, but didn't get it because they were having "issues." What if the Mustang was as well? Do you think it was always the plan for Mustang to have a suv engine?

Dude, that's almost WRX and evo territory from an i-4, wish they'd offer it for the Cobalt z24 (or maybe SS, idk which badge I like better)

I am predicting that Ford will use a variant of the 3.5 in the Mustang. I think it could be a larger displacement version, 3.7 or so.
