Very cool! Some guy posted these on Flickr! Hope these aren't a repost, because I don't keep up with this 5th gen stuff much. This appears to be the Camaro with a V6 based on engine shots we saw a few days ago.

That's because you're like me, and wish it was about the height of that sexy Viper Competition Coupe right there huh?

Both cars look nice, however, doesn't bode well for the Camaro to be a whole lot lighter than the Challenger based on size (and donor platform).

Nice post. I agree with 91Z28350. They could've at least cleaned up the car a little. But it's cool seeing the two side by side. Gets ya thinking.

It's not as tall as the SRT8 Challenger. The Camaro appears smaller in just about every way.

Yeah, it's not as tall, it looks to be a couple of inches shorter..... The challenger is at 57".....

Funny thing is, I remember seeing the Camoro next to some Mustangs, and it looked way smaller... The Mustang is 55".....

I don't know, maybe it's possible the earlier prototypes were smaller ????

Still not going to stop me from getting my new 5th gen.......

Anyone notice in all those pics that everyone is eye-raping the Camaro and nobody is looking at the Challanger....

Very true! The other car getting checked out is a yellow ZR-1.

And here's another picture from the same photographer that shows the Camaro and Challenger.

If nothing else, the Camaro and Challenger look good parked next to each other.

Too bad the Camaro's wheels aren't straight. That and it's turned out a little bit from the Challenger, so it's hard for me to properly judge the Camaro's appearance.

Great find!

The Camaro does look a bit shorter than the Challenger. But not as much as I would have thought. That model seems to have the smaller dia wheels and larger profile tires so maybe it's a V6 and maybe they sit up a bit higher. I would think the Camaro seen at the Nurburgring with the 20" in wheels and low profile tires would sit lower.

Can anyone confirm what this event was. Seems like several of Chrysler and GM vehicles at what looks like the infield at MIS. It just seems like an odd place to bring a Camaro test car.

I know some people that are going to see this picture and say they look alike! Just like they told me when they said the Camaro and the Mustang look just alike!

I just looked at the album, it was
"Formula SAE - MIS 2008
