Well tomorrow I get to order my Red Jewel 1SS convertible. Black top/ Interior, Automatic, with black stripes. I have been waiting for this day since I sold my 69 SS convertible back in 88.

How long will it take to build and deliver it?

 

Orders will be placed next month. I should have it in my garage by March of next year which sucks here in Minnesota. Hope the roads are clean by then. I will find out more info tomorrow. Allocation for my dealer hasn't been set yet but I was told they will be able to order and mine will be the first one placed.

Neither can I. The local dealer down the street has my exact car with the exception of silver stripes. I have a few pics of it to show the boss and she gave it a thumbs up. I actually let her pic all the options and color etc. I had better since she is the one buying it for me. My 11 year old daughter must have been researching them cause she was just telling me about all the options I must get etc. She also asked if I was going to mod it with long tubes and a cai plus a tune. WTH she is 11. Now I know what she is doing at night when she is supposed to be sleeping. Might have to keep my Birdible for her and not my son.

 

Sounds like a fun day. Is pricing out yet?

No pricing yet I am going in blind. I figure about 4K above the price of a hardtop. At least 500-1000 more than a similar Mustang GT convertible. Hopefully the wife won't be shocked when she finds out the total price.

Just got back from my lunch meeting. Ordered up a 1SS, Red Jewel, Black Top, Black Stripes, automatic. Got it for invoice. Mine is the second order. Allocation is 7 to start out with so as soon as dealer ordering opens up, mine goes in. Looks like I will have my new ride come March of next year. The only thing that sucks is I live in the Twin Cities so I won't be able to drive it until May. Beggers can't be choosers. I have to give a big shout out to my wife for letting me get my new toy. It has been 41 years in the making.
