Gm 2009 Camaro Rim Order

19/20 is rather large. I would personaly be surprised to see anything bigger 18/19's on even the biggest model.
My first question is, when was the last time anyone here priced 18/19 tires? Big wheels are nice and all, but dont expect 150 dollar tires. Get very comfortable with spending 1500 bucks on a set of quality tires.

These days even some semi-performance cars come with 18" wheels stock, including FWD cars. They days of 16" stock wheels are on the way out, and 18" and higher wheels are becoming more and more common. The more tires out there of a certain size, the cheaper they are likely to be. We do still have a couple of years to go.
Like Big Al just pointed out, and I was also getting at in my post, is that right now, tires for 17's, 18's, and up, are darn expensive in comparison to tires for 16's and smaller. Ok, "duh", I know, but I had a little "eye opener" a couple weeks ago when I actually priced out the tires I wanted for the 17/18" Z06 rims ..... I knew to expect "higher" prices than for my current 16's, but I was almost floored at the first place I priced them (NOT where I'll be buying them, that's for sure!! ).
Can/should we expect to see bigger wheels on cars in the future?? I guess so. The Corvette has wheels that are 1" bigger all-round than the previous generation, and the generation before that had smaller wheels again. I know the trend is getting bigger and bigger, and I suppose they wouldn't display 21/22" wheels on the concept if they didn't want us to expect something big for the production version, but I guess I'm almost surprised at just how "soon" the future might be hitting us?!

Don't forget too guys, that Alcoa probably won't be the only supplier of rims. I am a dock receiver at the plant where the new Camaro will be built and I receive rims (and other components) for the Impala and Monte Carlo. We get rims from numerous suppliers. So it's not unlikely that it'll be the same for the Camaro.
