Thumbs up GM Canada now has Build & Price on their Website

I noticed GM Canada now has Build & Price for the Camaro on their website, however not all the options have prices. There are no prices for the stripe packages, and they are still shown as LPO's. There are no Accessories/prices listed yet.

Another thing I noticed was that when I tried to build the 1SS with either blue color, it showed TBA. One thing that is a benefit to others, like myself, who ordered IOM, is that there is no extra charge. When you build a Solstice with IOM there is a $380.00 extra charge.

All Camaro models appear to be the same price as was originally announced by GM Canada during November 2008.

There are problems with comparing the Camaro to other vehicles. You can compare the Camaro to the Mustang, but not the Challenger or other cars expected to compete with the Camaro. I'm sure they will iron out the problems with the site soon.

There is no price yet for the Hurst Shifter, but when you press details, it states that it includes a chrome shift ****.

I don't know if this is a mistake, but when you build a LS model the options include stripe packages, and Hurst STS.

You're right. You can't access the Build & Price, but you can still compare the various Models with the Mustang etc.

From someone at GM Canada on Monday, Feb 23.

You are correct, Imperial Blue is now available on the SS models.
<snip>
Autobook and VOG are to be updated this week.

Priced out a loaded SS...if that's what the Canadian dealers think they are going to get, then they are nuts...

So why is it that a buyer in Texas will pay 700 and we in the GTA will pay double? Who is accountable for this? Why screw the Canadians? Is there any justification? Does it really cost double to get a car from Oshawa to Toronto vs Oshawa to Corpus Christi Texas?

Damn GM.
