Could mean something, could mean nothing. As the article states, automakers routinely renew trademarks on historic names whether or not they plan to use them on future vehicles.

I'm pretty sure we'll see 'Z28' on a Camaro again, I'm not so sure it will be on the 5th Gen.

Well they could do a "swan song" version of the 5th gen and drop in a 427 like they did for the C6 Corvette convertible.

They could... But I feel like it would be more fitting to call it a 427 SS.

Why is that? They never actually built a 427 SS. Those badges were created by the aftermarket about 20 years ago for a car that actually never existed.

Guess you learn something new everyday. I never knew that. Still... If it was popular enough for an aftermarket... Could be a hit as a production car.

They also make "SS 454" and "SS 502" badges as well. Whereas the LS7 has road racing roots, just like the Z/28.

I have no doubt Z28 will return to Camaro... But in what generation and with what engine?
