Thanks!
Usually, if I'm not "here" it's because I'm on the road and have no internet connection..
I was going to take some pix at PRI, but the rule this year are no pix... I was a guest of a company that builds race car bodies for road racing, no way I'd embarrass them, even though at every place I found cool stuff folks here were interested in they would tell me, go ahead and shoot some pix... rules are rules. It's not hard to be honorable.
There were lots of 1st gen Camaros in many displays. The one that really knocked me out was a '68 done as a roadracing car, but with a new tech suspension. It was a luscious orange and the Z/28 stripes were the bare steel which was treated with a DuPont high bonding anti-corrosive which is clear, then cleared over when the final color was laid down. Absolutely amazing look.
Saw my pals from GMPP, Katech, Xtrac, Advanced Composite Products, Motul, Magnetti Marelli, Motec, AP Brakes, talked awhile with Lou Gigliotti who was there shopping, and other friends from racing teams.
PRI is head and shoulders a more serious show than SEMA, when it comes to real racing parts. The machine and tools section is always fun as the newest CNC machines and dynos, etc. are there to watch do their thing.

Yes and no. It's open to folks involved with professional racing from any motorsports descipline.
It's free of charge for entry unless you are displaying products.
I believe you can apply a few weeks out for a pass.
It's a serious deal and the promoters try to keep attendees to serious buyers. Many states and countries have booths trying to draw teams or companies to locate to a particular place. A few places in Britain were well represented. A good number of sanctioning bodies and tracks have representative displays too.
Michelin was not pushing rubber, but they are offering rentals of their test facilities which I discussed with them and it may be a good idea for one of the teams I help out because there's a number of different layouts available, and numerous surface characteristics available too.
It's a huge event. Imagine it as NAIAS, LA, and Chicago rolled into a one weekend deal. All the major players that want to stay major players attend. There are lots and lots of race cars displayed and that's good for picking up clever ways to do things.
