I think its all there but V-8, RWD, & Manual transmission gets me in the show.
The ability to change gauge colors(like on an Alpine stereo), or even better like ProParts gauges on Junior's Nascar.
Mufflers with WOT bypasses like on the Z06.
All in one removable Rockford Fosgate amp and sub.

Ergonomics

I want the car to be comfortable to be in. For that, I'd love the following:

1. Telescoping and tilt steering wheel (probably a given by now).
2. Seats as comfortable as the GTO, not skinny *** crap like the 4th gen.
3. Unique steering wheel NO bigger than 14", and make it a 3 spokes.
4. Please don't forget a dead pedal, and position the pedals so it's a
pleasure to heel and toe, not a chore.

Thanks.

Please make sure we have ample cup holders like we did in the 97-02 Camaro interior. But PLEASE put them out of the way. The one in the dead center was in the way of manual shifting.

how about the f body rattles.

I have own 3 f body's and all have had the rattles in the inside either from dash or center console. Also lets use a matieral on the seats that will still look good and feel good after 70,000 miles.

Yes - buy your leather from the same place Mercedes does!

Hi folks,

I don't know if this was brought up in other comments but a color palette like the one available on the first gen cars;
http://www.camaros.net/years/69/69paint.html

Something a little more exciting than the colors available on cars today.

[UPDATE 5-8-08] - The focus group is scheduled to be happening the weekend of May 17.

(For those who have asked. )

Also, there will NOT be ANY cameras allowed this time, so while we will be bringing back information that is able to be disclosed , we will not be able to bring back pictures.

My opinion is that pictures will be made available soon anyway.

Keep the on-topic suggestions coming!

Again Jason, will you make some notes on how you think the taller crowd will fit in this car? Keep in mind I’m 6’6” and its all in my legs.

I've been talking about this since before the concept even rolled out in 2006. I even mentioned it to Scott in person and I'm still concerned. If I can’t fit in the car comfortably I won’t be able to buy it.

While I don’t expect it to have the room my W-body has, I'm hoping the electric seats will be able to move far enough back and down to work for me.

I'm not buying the vert for headroom

Package Type

From the very first pictures to the test mule, it looks like the SS version was on the radar (ram air opening in the hood) , now it does not. Are they going to provide an SS and if so I think they should go with the following packages:

Go with RS as the base, Z28 as the middle version and SS as the top of the line. Also use the HUD on the SS version and have a LS9 engine.

In no particular order:

Interior:

1. HUD/ Nav sys seperately optioned. (I only want HUD)

2. White face gauges.

3. Seat integrated seatbelts on the convertible.

4. External media jack for hardwire/ no bluetooth.

5. No cheap plastic interior parts even if it's an additional $ upgrade.

6. Real metal switches, nothing faux chrome that will wear off when handled.

7. 4th Gen type adjustable steering column.

8. On Star delete- I can't stand the thought of being tracked. If no can do, Paint the car under where they put the antenna so it won't look bad when I take it off.

9. Functional headrests

10.

I thought that was a loose changes, bubble gum holder
I love the pop out one on the passenger side of my Blackbird and the two on the back of the console for the rear occupants.

Exterior:

1. Flush mounted badging.

2. Chrome window trim.

3. Hard tonneau for convertible. (but not an $1100 option for a piece of plastic that you can buy off ebay for $150 a year later ala 4th gen convertibles)

4. Individual wheel options, not package only availability.

5. A true "Hugger Orange" paint.

Performance:

1. Good brakes. Real good brakes. A few laps around road Atlanta without fade good brakes.

2. If you are using a hydaulic clutch on the manuals do not run the line so close to the exhaust that it boils the fluid. It is the biggest disappoint ment on my 02, and keeps the car from performing properly.

Thanks for listening.

HUGE QUALITY FAILURE FROM THE 4th gen (my 98 mystic green but Im sure there are others) with the PAINT COMMING OFF IN CHUNKS! I was sure they had fixed the problem my friend had with his old S10 since it was a 1992 or 93...

Please dont allow something that bad again!

The car is shaping up very nicely. Others have addressed all of the interior requests (dash, legroom, etc.). I have one concern, and that is tire size. The pre-production testmules of the V8 car are riding around on 275\40\20s on the rear and 245\40\20s on the front. With this configuration, tires can't be rotated and will be very expensive to replace, as low profiles tires wear out quickly even with minimal non-aggressive driving. Make all four tires 275\40\20 all the way around for the non-SC V8 car. This will enable owners to rotate the tires and prolong the life of the tires. Plus, from the front, the cars looks strange at times with the narrower front tires. Put beefy rubber of equal size and width all the way around.

Wink

PLEASE! Keep it simple. We have to remember this is a camaro not some highend exotic, I don't want a +40k camaro, keep it priced competively with the mustang and most of all remember.

K.I.S.S.

keep it simple stupid
