Has anyone heard when GMS will be accepted?

My dealer and I have seen the prices, but he doesn't seem to know if/when GM will accept them. It appears to be a similar situation to the Z06 a few years ago, GMS prices were listed for it, but it was excluded from the program for 2 model years by GM.

The Z06 hasn't always been available to purchase at GMS. It wasn't until recently with the 08' model year that you could get GMS on a new Z06.

GMS is the pricing available to GM factory workers and their immediate family members. GSU is for the supplier pricing. There is about a 4.5% difference in price between the two.

I have sold them too. I have been doing this for around 6 years. You may have sold them for GMS, but your dealership didn't get any money from GM like they do now. You can sell a vehicle for whatever you want, but if GM isn't honoring the pricing than you are selling for less than invoice and losing money.

Either way the dealer loses money. GMS/GMU is solely up to the dealer's discretion. They don't get a rebate from GM for selling at either of those prices, nor do they get the vehicle cheaper because someone is using the discount. They just make "x" or "y" amount less for selling the car. They have invoice less their "holdback" as their true cost basis. When you have factory-to-dealer incentives, then, and only then, does the cost of the vehicle come down for the dealer.

GMS pricing is available and it is up to the dealer to accept it. My dealer IS accepting it and I will be getting GMS on my 2SS.

This is straight off the ChevyLaunch website that GM uses to keep dealers informed about upcoming product. This is on the FAQ section for the Camaro.

Is the Camaro going to be offered at G.M.S pricing?

We'll be making an announcement on our GMS plans closer to the start of production.

GM does pay dealerships for handling GMS or Supplier deals. We get paid 5% of the vehicle cost minus freight. $25000 car=$1250 to the dealership for selling less than invoice.
