And whom might that be? Your response is as good any any others.... although you do drive that "other" type of car.

Here's what a 4,100# car looks like beside a 4th gen.... ... so unless the 5th gen has lead weights hidden somewhere, I can't see where the heft is gonna' be.....

Roll your eyes, but it's obvious the Challenger is a HUGE car....

Her's the same image with perspective, vanishing lines added for reference....

Take a photo of two 4th gens side by side with that same camera lens and angle, and the closer one is going to look huge just like the Challenger does.

Not saying the Challenger isn't bigger or heavier, but there is a significant amount of distortion in that image.

Besides, the weight added by steel bars in the doors, body-stiffening, side curtain airbags, etc, isn't visually evident from the outside of the car. Photos don't really tell us anything about weight.

That's why I added the perspective lines.....it's obvious the Challenger dwarfs the 4th gen.....

Perspective foo. That photo makes it obvious how much bigger the Challenger is than a 4gen. It's a massive car, on par with a 300C. Now I like big cars... but hmm.

My biggest objection though to the Challenger, is its extreme similarity to the original. It was the same reason I wasn't a big fan of the Ford GT.

No way in hell the Challenger's hood is the same height as the 4th gen's roof. (Your lines do nothing to give an accurate comparison.)

Using the top and bottom of the wall lines to establish a vanishing point, they are slightly off... but not by much.

That said, the Challenger appears to be parked slightly ahead of the Camaro, thus distorting the perspective even more than it would be had their noses been even.

compare the G8 vs the Challenger, atleast its the same platform. that would be 4000 lbs vs 4100 lbs.

Cheezus f-n Kripes...I was simply trying to use a known size car to show those who know how big a 4th gen is (some say it's a large car) to the new Challenger.....as a point of reference to how g-d*mned huge it truly is. Oh, and ask Charlie how small the rear seat room is....

Here, do your own research next time....

Pontian G8 (it's a four door you know...)

Length: 196.1 (1.6 in. shorter)
Width: 74.8 (0.9 in. narrower)
Height in : 57.7 (0.7 higher)
Weight lb : 3995 (145 lbs. lighter)

Can't be done without distorting the photo somehow. The challenger is much larger, but I'll wait for a real side-by-side pic.
