Here's an article about the car:
GM toying with Camaro | The Detroit News | detroitnews.com

Here's some real pics:

The color is called Kinetic Blue.

Ordering will open up in November and production will run from Jan. 2013 thru June 2013.

Oh, and it's a $7K dollar option.

Wow. Seriously? $7000 for paint that people wanted from the start of production? That is like a kick in the nuts to me. Makes me glad I got the Mustang.

I think the $7,000 option is for the whole hot wheels Camaro. While I do agree the price seems a little steep, but at least the whole package is very nicely done. The color, the wheels, ZL1 grille, the black accent on the tailights, it's all worked together pretty nicely. (Better than the Bumble Bee Camaro a while back IMO)

Still, $7000 for a few trim pieces and a coat of paint that should have been offered from the start. That just rubs me the wrong way.

Re: HOT WHEELS EDITION in BLUE

I wonder if the car will have the cool hood like on the actual Hot Wheels car and the green Hot Wheels concept from last year.

Re: HOT WHEELS EDITION in BLUE

Love the blue. That should be offered on any Camaro.

Interesting how this package is $7k for wheels, trim and paint and the 1LE package is only $3500 and you actually get some real performance parts with wheels and trim upgrades.

Re: HOT WHEELS EDITION in BLUE

I won't order one for the lot....but if someone WANTS one, well, then I guess I'll order it.

The same old hood is a fail, the concept was exciting.....but maybe with the ZL1 hood issues, something special wasn't in the cards....?

I can't justify $7000 in cosmetics.... we have a 2LS from the autoshow with 21" wheels we'll have to lose money on to unload....If I knew the car had them, I wouldn't have taken it.... The wheels weren't that great, and were $4000+

Love the color! What I liked most about the Hot Wheel concept was the hood, wheels and the tail pipes. Neither of which made it. For 7K, it falls short.
