I would rather have silver badges on my RS SS (sounds better said that way...), but worst case i'll just switch the badges out.

So the SS with the RS package has a red SS badge in the grill and an RS badge in the back? Am i understanding correctly? so from the back the only way to tell if it is a V6 RS or V8 RS would be the slightly larger exhaust tips on the V8? I wish the RS option added more significant mods to the SS version, but that's ok...

No. SS will have SS badges. Only the RS-LT gets the RS badges.

so when i change my red SS badges to silver the only thing making it an RS is the headlights. i'm trying to think how i can incorporate SS and RS badges on the car but i think that would be too many badges. maybe SS in the center of the grill and the small RS by the headlight? hmm

I'm not concerned about HID headlights, however I DO want the halos. Only available with RS Package?

So the Standard SS has the RS tail lights already
so what does the RS package add on the SS if the SS has all of the RS options already?

So, an RS/SS doesn't actually get a badge that says that. Just a red version of the SS badge.

Too bad, I thought that would be cool.

You can always add the RS badge if you like. It would make a nice personal
touch.

On the first and second generation cars, if a car was an RS/SS, the SS badging always "trumped" the RS badging, so I'd guess that's what they followed here.

Cool that they at least differentiate the badging some, but like 8Banger said, you can pick up some RS badges at your accessory counter and place them wherever you'd like...

NO RS/SS ever got dual badging. They were all badged "SS". The difference was the headlamps... and it still will be.

I'd like to know why V6 cars are getting a cowl hood?! They really should have saved that hood for the Z28 and gave the SS an SS style hood, woulda made sense GM. The V6 and V8 are gonna probably look too similar again. I bet money Z28 style stripes are optional on non Z28 cars too.

I don't believe its a functional cowl hood; merely a bulge.
