The title of the thread is "How fast will the Z/28 be in 0-60? 1/4 mile?" which then lead to the discussion on whether that was important for a road course track car that would rarely see 1/4 mile action.
Never did it move to "other vehicles".

0-60 and 1/4-mile ET/mph are of course important/relevant for this car. Fortunately, it should be a smidge quicker than the Boss 302 based on power/weight.
My RX-7 is a street/road-course car, but still I was interested enough in it's straight-line ability to take it to the drags once, and interested enough in it's higher-speed capabilities to take it to the Texas Mile.
Surely no one thinks that these performance parameters are utterly meaningless for the vast majority of those interested in the Z/28!
