Does anyone know how many Camaro's are being produced a day? When some might actually be on showroom floors that are not pre-sold. How production is going? When the 2010 production will end and 2011 will begin? Any new news on the Z/28.

GM isn't discussing numbers publicly. We have been told they would start slowly, then ramp up the production rates as the weeks go by. Everyone involved in production wants to make sure the first hundred cars are built as well as cars 20,000- 20,100.

They have a bunch of sold orders, likely mostly V8s. GM hasn't provided a breakdown. They are also producing a number of V6 Camaros for dealer showroom "stock". Those orders are being mixed in with the sold orders as cars are scheduled for production.

Unknown 2010 end of production.

Nothing new on the Z/28, nor would I expect anything until GM gets a few other minor details worked out (as in survival)

 

They were building ~200/day by the end of the first week of production. Their target is around ~450 cars/day. It's been ~3 weeks. They've probably built somewhere between ~3000 and ~5000 cars!! I'm sure they're doing fine .

 

Z/28 is on hold...... Everything seems set, GM just needs to pull the trigger. If camaro sales are hot, most probobly the Z/28 will be released, but it won't happen in the 2010 model.

What the heck is up with Moreno Valley?! (arguably, the largest Chevy dealer in the SF bay area).

Seems all the SSs they ordered are automatics!

 

They are actually Southern Calif. Not really close to SF Bay area.

I wonder if they're trying to get in on the Camaro like Hertz did with the Z06 and the Hertz Corvette "ZHZ" and the Hertz GTH Mustang.

Let's just hope Avis doesn't go with the Avis Camaro SS "A-SS"
