how modable will the 5thgen be?

i was wondering how modable will the 5th gen be? with odb3 coming out that will make things alot harder on us. also i read about guys having a lot of trouble tuning there computers on there c6's. i mean if the car comes with 430-450hp ill probly leave it alone for the most part. but i know for the large majority of people on here that wont be enogh .

VERY modable. the easier it is to work on the better for the do it yourselfer, and less expensive when you take it to the shop. i was once charged something like 200 bucks (if not more) to change 2 spark plug wires. thats rediculous

yes but with the odb3 wont it make it harder to tune for the mods. also the c6 ls2 guys are complaining that gm made it extremly hard to get into the computer to mod like there is a lock on it. my point being that if its hard to program the computer of the c6 becuase gm locked people out of it then would we have the same problems with the camaro. rember the same people that worked on the corvette are working on the camaro.

OBD3 will just make repairs easier. It'll narrow down (from what I've heard) the exact area where a problem is occuring and it'll make it easier to find/fix the problem. And if you're worried about, say, a cam swap... I don't think it'll be much, if any, more difficult than any other engine GM has out today.

The #1 complaint besides price differential I heard about the 4th gen f bodies versus the mustang was how they were so difficult to work on in comparison, which I agree with.

#2 was dimensions, which this had a lot to do with, half the engine is under the dash!

C6's are just new. They've only been out for a couple years. It takes awhile for someone to come out with good software for a new car, always.

There is no issues with tuning any ls2 powered car or truck. HPTuners has you covered. Software and hardware were available June of this year.

There will be a big aftermarket demand for these cars. The real question to ask is not " how modable will the 5th gen be", but more so, "which company should I buy from?"

Chevrolet NEEDS to do like Ford DID with the Mustang,........Get Them Out There. Once they are ready, way before they're ready for our consumption, send them out to every maker of quality aftermarket parts/tuners so they can get all the parts ready for us to mod our new Camaros. This way by the time we get our already badass Camaros, the parts WILL be there for us to mod. Like a bunch of loose kids in a candy store.

Space for Long Tube Header and Turbos (another Hood for a Blower will do) looks very tight. Intercooler? No idea where to put that thing. At least from what i can see on the new Zeta based Commodore. And this with the Battery in the Trunk.
Yea, i Know i know. The Concept had a lot of space. But no Window-washer-water, No ABS Distruptor, No AC, No Fuseblock, No Coolant Expansinon Tank. And the Car was wider than the final version will be.
