It really isn't out of your line of site. That's where they are on both of my 67 Camaros, and they are there by choice, as I added aftermarket guages and did not have the optional console mounted guages which the concept is trying to mimick. I've never had any problem glancing at the guages as I'm driving down the road. I have a bigger beef with the tach and speedo being in opposite locations than where they were in 1967-68. Remove the copper colored shiny finish and I could live with the layout as presented. The seats look real comfortable imo.
