compare the GT 500 that will shut them up.
And for those of you who might say, “Well, the Challenger has 35 hp more,” I would just reply that we have a certified 1OO more on tap from the ZO6 engine, should the need arise.

When it comes to the challenger, camaro, vs. the mustang, I can see the comparison. But if everyone here thinks that the camaro will be a baseline v8, your wrong, it'll have a base v6, same as the mustang for the actual market. Your V8 camaro, or Z28 will have a comparable motor, probably a 4.7L. Only a SS will have the big motor, and then thats mustang competiton is the GT500. I think the 3v 4.6L will beat the 4.7L anyday. Dodges challenger, with the big 6.1L I think people are dreaming, but reality, the car is to small for that sized motor. It'd be the same as Ford putting a V10 in the Mustang, never going to happen. Probably your line up will be a v6 Mustang vs a v6 Camaro, then a V8 Mustang GT, vs a Camaro z28, vs a 4.8L challenger. Then you'll probably have a top of the line GT500 vs a SS Camaro, and probably a SRT challenger, I'm not going to speculate on which motor the SRT challenger will have in it. And as I've stated before, everyone is forgetting SVT now that shelby has a new mustang out. I wouldn't put anything past SVT, after all, they did produce the fastest street production mustang to date. If Dodge comes out swinging, so will SVT.

I love how they keep comparing the LS7 Camaro to the GT!
The LS7 ZL1 Camaro at 1/3 the price of the GT!
(Im assuming around 40-50) I think some of them got alot of stuff wrong even with what their Fords were in the day. The whole thread was funny. Let them worry about what their answer for the Camaro is for a change. And their car is still in production!!!!! LOL

If I remember, excluding COPOs and special order cars (which typically wasn't available to the average Joe off the streets), Camaro and Mustang pretty much split the title from 67 to 73.
Trans Ams were almost ALWAYS quicker than Camaros, traditionally. Straight through the 70s, they outpowered Camaros, through the 80s they had higher top speeds ('89 anniversary model especially), even the 90s factory backed "Firehawks" were a bit quicker than the "Bow Tie Brigade".
The 2003 "Terminator" supercharged Cobra was intended beat Camaro SS, even if GM had used an LS6 in the car.

I am suprised by their lack of knowledge. First off the can't spell Camaro correctly. Secondly, GM does have a 4.7 V8. Then of course the entire Cobra S/C beats the SS. I'd hope so! Costing around 45k new when they were built and having a S/Cer! They still didn't stock for stock beat the C5 Vettes. They keep saying apples to oranges, but it's more like lemons(Ford) to Strawberries(Chevy). Ones bitter and sour and the other is sweet. I couldn't read past page 3 because they don't understand that Barbie owns Mustangs while men own F-Bodies. Atleast some Mustang owners know for a fact they can't win in their stock 94-04 GT against a 93-02 Z28. My friend has a 02 GT and knows that even a 93 Z28 A4 will beat him.
