Interesting posts on the FastLane Blog...

Did anyone notice the F4 and F3 styling defenders?

There were a few of them, which I found to be quite a surprise...

Oh yeah, by my informal survey methods on the blog the SS is MURDERING the Z28 as top dog choice.

Heh.

People hate change.....most hated the 2nd gens, the 3rd gens, the 4th gens back in 1993.....and again the 1998 revision......but of course most people are idiots.

As far as the SS vs Z/28 thing....remember a wise man once said "Any Chevy can be an SS....but only the Camaro can be a Z/28."

And as an even wiser man said - only a Beretta can be a Z26.

The most important people are speaking... those that talk with their pocketbooks. Heh.

And as the man with the most wisdom once said..."There can only be two ZL1s, Corvette and Camaro." Sorry but there has never been a single designation for the car that another hasn't had. Z28 yea but their have been Z34, Z24, Z26, Z06.

You may have a Z06, Z24, Z26, Z28, Z34, Z71, ZR-2, ZR-5 blah blah...but they are representative of one model. Everything has an SS now.....SS this, SS that.....come on, someone justify why there is an SS version of the Malibu and such....I'm still waiting for the Aveo SS, I know it's coming.

Re: Interesting posts on the FastLane Blog...

Im not saying that it should be SS or Z28 as top dog im just saying that GM has history whether it be good or bad behind almost every car and name they have. SRT is a new designation for DCX but they had it on a neon up to a viper. Its just the way things work now. I personally don't care what they call it other after they put the Camaro badges on it as long as it kicks some a** like we all expect it to.

Or a Berlinetta...

I still like "Berlinetta", BTW...

Be a nice name for a 275hp V6, 6spd, performance suspension, big tires, big brakes, fully optioned car with nav and seat heaters and such...

I want the Z28 to be the Z06 of Camaro’s....

Actually Dodge (I think) owns rights to the IROC name because they were the most cureent to sponsor the race series.

So GM can't make anymore IROC's sadly.

Re: Interesting posts on the FastLane Blog...

The SS can be the most expensive "top" camaro. The Z/28 needs to be the most dedicated performer...the most extreme...

...It needs to be more than "the middle model."
