I got to know Scott about 10 years ago when I initiated my public defense of the Z/28's honor - and future.

Re: July GM High Tech Mag
2010? That's just too bloody late. No IRS? That's taking a risk with the vehicle's credibility. Although I realize a live axle is more realistic for drag racing, and drag racing will be the Camaro's main performance territory, the press just doesn't give credibility to anything sans IRS.
I'm confident GM's brass will approve the Camaro. The devil is in the details though. Just how much of a Camaro will we get in the end?

Apologies for the misinformation. I knew that I didn't know his exact title, and I tried to be clear about that. Some of you seem to have overinterpreted "in charge of".
That sounds like "in charge of" to me.
Anyway, I apologize if I have misled anyone, and thanks to all of you for setting my story straight.
So, who is in charge now?

All of the guys here who seem to have inside information say 2008 as a 2009 model. Less than two years away.
I would rather have it later and perfected than now and unfinished. My 4th-gen keeps me happy in the meantime.

Confirmed? DON'T THINK SO!

Re: July GM High Tech Mag
I did not see anything in that mag much that was whats what. The next gen engines are coming out and the LS1-LS2-LS6-LS7 all will be out dated by then. Also if the thing with Delphi is not settled nothing will be coming out and will put a hurting and others as well
