Then again, anything that GM would have paid would have easily been eclipsed by them buying enough time to run a 2 1/2 hour commercial.

Great line Boomer on the "7-year hiatus" thing ! Wish I would have thought of that.

I am thinking of seeing it for the second time in the next 2 days.

Just got home from seeing this......absolutely awesome I don't know if I liked the movie or the car more. I really thought I wanted the 5th gen bad before, but it's even worse now that I've seen this movie.

Amazing movie. I'm going to see it again. And buy it on DVD. And I'll probably buy some toys.

The Camaro/Mustang chase scene... awesome. Bumblebee kicking the crap out of the Mustang... awesome.

The crowd was all ooo's and ahh's when the new Camaro was shown. I had a **** eater's grin for like 10 minutes after seeing it in motion.

Yeah great movie, heaps of people here in Aus asking about the cars. Everyone seemed to love the Camaro and Solstice. Great bit of marketing there to make almost every car in the movie a GM product.

i really did not like the movie. i heard someone say story line? it did not have a line it was scattered everywhere. terrible plot. comedy and tons of action. i mean its not a bad movie because of all the special effects but it really was nothing more than that.

damn camaro, cant wait for that thing, ready to sell the vette already

The Bumblebee is a GTO with Camaro Concept body and similar interior -- Saleen just put it all together. (the Bumblebee IS different in that the wheelbase is slightly longer and the track wider than the actual concept)

Naturally I'm proud as hell that the Camaro has a place of honor in the movie. It's also interesting that some of the scenes were shot in Detroit -- in a couple of locations -- namely Fort Street downtown -- and the old abandoned Michigan Central Train Station.........

I saw the movie on saturday. There were oohs from the crowd, and claps,(including myself) when the new car appeared. I relished every time it was on screen. I've got the picture of it at the Griffith Observatory as my desktop wallpaper. Gee Michael Bay must be a Camaro fan to have it fighting a Mustang!

I recognized that from infiltration.org and other urban exploring sites.
It was weird having them cut from the inside of it to another building that was supposed to represent the outside and thinking, but thats a different building? Also was waiting for the camera to slow down enough to pick out some of the bad words since the whole place is graffettied but they did a good job of keeping it hiddened

I too thought the movie was awesome. I love how the camaro played and important role in the movie... One of my favorite saying was " your going to leave the fate of the world up to your camaro" or something a long that line. I loved the movie so much i went and saw it twice and after the first viewing of movie i got real excited and drove mine around all night until i got pulled over and got a front liscense plate ticket.... yea new york sucks

I am extremely disappointed that it wasn't GM who put it together. The question is WHY? Actually... on another article they talked good about the fit and finish of the vehicle on how the pieces fit very VERY nicely... Maybe Saleen should put together the production car? Sometimes I don't get GM... They fuzz about certain thing yet they don't get jealous about leaving their "babies" to be fiddled by somebody else.. .

Kind of like the white C6 Z06 pictures that appeared that was being done by an independent shop...
