Just wanted to say "Thank You" ......

Wishing the best for you buddy. I went through this with my father but unfortunately it took a heart attack for us to find out how much of a blockage there was. Thankfully he made a full recovery, and is still with us today, and thankfully you will too.
I have one suggestion that my father's Dr. (Also Dan Reeve's Former Falcons Coaches Dr.) made. He told my dad that having a bottle of beer a day is excellent medicine to both sooth the stress level but also the antioxidents in the beer are the real reason why it is good for you. It is much like drinking a glass of red wine. Being that my dad isn't a red wine lover he drinks Rolling Rock...
Recover quickly, and rest up we are going to be needing you in these comming years.

I am so glad to hear from you directly, I had been watching the other thread.
My uncle smoked for about 55 of his 70 years then had to have his voice box
removed and now talks with one of the little vibrating microphones.
I wish you all the best as you stop smoking and try to eat more "leafy green food". As a dyed in the wool car guy. I have a deep love of cheese and steak myself.

Good to hear from ya, Scott!
Wishing you all the best, and prayers are with you of course!
Quitting smoking was the best decision I ever made, and you'll certainly agree when you're off the habit too.
Notice I said WHEN not IF, cuz you are going to do it!!!

Glad youre well Scott. The smokes may have tried to kill you, but I think the Camaro may have kept you alive. The adrenaline rush of WOT runs and just the sheer joy of driving the 5th will keep blood flowing steady.
Youll be alright. Rub some dirt on it.

It might sound silly but the main reason I went to Bowling Green this year was because you said you'd quit smoking if enough cars showed up. I figured it was a long shot but just couldn't pass up the opportunity to contribute to the 'help Scott stop smoking' cause.
Here's hoping I get to buy you another dinner (even if it is just leafy greens) and that next time you won't have to step outside for those smoke breaks.

I'm happy to hear you're OK-- I smoked for over ten years (14 to 24-25 or so years old), and after about three months quit, I remember how I felt younger, stronger, and more alive than I had ever before felt. And it just gets better from there.
I started eating healthy, pushing weights, (since I actually had the energy to do it) and look better now, at just under 30, than I ever have before...
It's WORTH it.

Yay!
Great to hear you're doing well, Scott........I thought for a minute that maybe the Black Suburbans finally got you!
Good luck on the diet and smoking. Luckily I never started the latter, but the former is a continual problem of mine - so you have my absolute understanding. Thanks for letting us know how you're doing, and take good care of yourself while recovering!
