Lets take out some time to thank......
Lets take out some time to thank the Fbodfather, Cheryl Pilcher and everyone who worked hard on bringing this car back to reality. I know right after the release of the car, we here in the Camaro Forum really didnt thank the people who were responsible for bringing the car back. I know there was harsh criticism about the car but hey, we at least have a car with a Camaro nameplate back on the street! Again I would like to thank all who were involved with the development of the car and I wish the Camaro team, and GM as whole the best of Luck.

Amen. Chevy has braved the tsunami of political correctness, fought off the Mongol hordes of federal regulators, stood up to the tiny torch-waving mob of irrational weight-fearing Camaro discussion forum members, and cleverly given a whole new set of challenges to well-armed armies of designers of the Camaro's competition. Salute!

Scott and Cheryl, you guys have really done a great job.
Scott I know that this has been your baby, and ever since we first talked at the Dick Harrell thing at GMMG I knew you would see this sucker through even if you weren't working on it directly. It says alot when a man will stand by and roll with the punches especially when his job doesn't necessarily require it and it also says alot when a man keeps his word and you have.
Cheryl, I have been so impressed with you at the helm. I don't know if a bunch of muscle car nuts such as ourselves could have gotten any more blessed. Never in my wildest would I have ever imagined anyone else at GM that could take the Camaro on as a project and would display the respect, love, and kinship that Scott has had for us. You have really made us proud and I am proud to have seen another enthusiast take up the Sword and do it with an open ear to us customers. I can say with great enthusiasm that no matter what the Ford or Dodge fan boys say they can never say that the Mustang or Challenger had direct input like we have had on the Camaro.
Thank you goes out to the designers, engineers and countless others out there that have tested, retested, designed, and redesigned. Thank you for you hard work, long hours, and sleepless nights trying to make this car what us picky Camaro purists wanted. Job well done, and I am proud to say this car is way more than I ever expected.
Thank you to all from the bottom of my heart, I am so excited to see the Camaro back.

I have to admit that the last Camaro I owned (brand new) was my 1983 Z28 (sold in 1987). It had an under whelming 150HP and I loved that car but it developed into quite a rattle trap. That was the last American car I bought and in the last few years I have been pondering why I have avoided American and it was this lasting impression of mediocre fit/finish of that car. I feel that GM has really turned things around lately and the new Camaro looks like it oozes quality and I applaud the Camaro team for really working hard on this. I plan on buying one but of course I will have to sit and drive one first. I can't imagine being disappointed! To the people complaining about weight with 422HP it drives me nuts! Be thankful Camaro is coming back!
BTW My first car was a 1974 Camaro type LT and I was the envy of my high school... :-) I am hoping a 2011 (waiting a year to make sure no Z/28 is coming out) will be my 3rd Camaro...

It isn't necessary to thank us.
The 'thanks' comes when I see the size of your smiles behind the wheel.....THEN I will know 'we got it right'...........
When the "12 disciples of which there are 15" saw the production intent cars......and I saw their reactions......THAT was what made the past several years all worthwhile.
(Tidbit:
The cars they saw were the Yellow RS, the Red RS (which had to be converted to a V6) a Silver SS -- and a Black SS which, curiously has been 'skimcoated' silver and will be seen in "My Own Worst Enemy" -- which, if you watch NBC, I'm sure you've seen it in the commercials --

Scott,
Why was the Yellow RS the "secret" color at the time? One of the disciples confirmed it was the Yellow but I can't help but wonder why especially since the color is on the current cobalts and doesn't seem to be anything "new".
Thanks!!
