But no, it's not distraction at all. The SKIP SHIFT light is actually pretty distracting at night.
When you're driving at night, the lights shouldn't even be visible to you, unless you're not watching the road. The light from the gauges will actually grab your attention enough to keep you from noticing the doors switches.
I just figure if they put the money in for the auto-down feature (which has a module all to itself i believe).. then they could throw in a few LED's into the switches

I; however, am always accidentally rolling down the rear windows in my P.O.S. Frontier! If a cop pulled me over in it at night, he'd/she'd probably just arrest me for being an idiot who can't roll the right window down. Good thing Camaros only have two windows to choose from. Good thing my 70 has manual cranks. LOL!

All that AND some of the lowest gas prices in the US? (Current Lowest Price in my area is $1.92 a gallon for Regular, though it fluctuates by 20cents or so)
At least NJ has SOMETHING.

Having had a few cars with the gas door on the passenger side (including the GTO), i prefer it on the rear (which will never happen again, i know), or at least the correct (driver's) side.
While a lot of times it doesn't matter, at a busy/full gas station it can make it a hassle to get a pump because you can't just line up with everyone else because you have to go against traffic (unless you turn around and back up through the lines, which has been done). This is one place where conformity is probably good.

Thicker, more resilient side bolster fabric/leather on the seats. Those spots always seemed to wear out on 3rd and 4th gens (and probably 2nd gens too... but I don't have as much experience with them).
GM also needs a better method for mounting the lower part of the front fender behind the front wheels. That thin piece of sheet metal is too easily damaged by shops when lifting/jacking the car.

From the CZ6 chassis shots, it looks like you'd use the front subframe as the jacking points like the GTO and presumably the CTS.
On the same note, i hope they keep ground clearance reasonable. I've already had the GTO on some unimproved / dirt driveways and roads that i never would have made it down in my thirdgen without losing my tranny pan or exhaust. The GTO is no 4x4 in ride height, but the way everything tucks under it, with the only fragile point (the oil pan/filter b/c of the rear steer chassis) protected by a skid plate is great.

I like the 1 light for the switches. Have you ever noticed that the lighted switches on the dash for ASR & fog lights get VERY hot when the head lights are on? Imagine that on the door switches.

How about express down and up on both windows.
Windows that roll up and down in a reasonable amount of time.
