How much front overhang are we getting this time?
front overhang looks dandy. Comparing pictures, the overhang looks less than even the 3rd gen.

Re: The Little Things

I LOVE the indirect interior lighting of the door switches, I think it's quite a neat solution. Looks way cooler and less obnoxious than switches with lights in them. Also love the lights on the bottom of the rearview. You get plenty of interior light without a bulb directly beaming you in the eye. Very well done, IMO.

I remember way back in '90 when a buddy got a new Corvette. The 6-speed gearshift pattern on the shift **** was illuminated from above. REALLY cool, I thought. Still do.

It is the little things, and sometimes GM actually get's 'em RIGHT!

I actually always complained about the lights being in the rearview.

If I wanted to see something further back than the front seats (say to get something out of the back seats) it didn't illuminate enough.

Keep the light in the rearview, but add something in the rear as well at least.

There is a rear light, just push the dimmer switch all the way up till it clicks.

Mind you, I haven't had the car for a while now.. I may have very well forgotten that fact. LOL

Hmmm.. What the heck was my complaint about the lighting then? I remember I had one.

I agree, but it's usually not a problem if your careful; I would like to keep it on the driver's side still. Just seems "right".

Also, you're afraid of hitting the concrete, how will you feel everytime you have a passenger in the car that starts opening the door at a gas station? -who do you trust more? Most passengers are unaware of door size and careless...that's a concern I have in parking lots and my garage when a passenger exits, I don't want to have to worry at the pump as well.

Re: The Little Things

I like the flood lights. I do wish they were a touch brighter, but that's nit picky. But while we're picking nits, they should have illuminated the vanity mirrors in the sunvisors.

All y'all who think the flood lights look cheap would really hate my other car - it has flood lights for the door handles AND the center console.
