I want it to have forged pistons too, but I think we already know the answer to this one.

Make the business case.

Less money spent on warranty work?
Better rep in the enthusiast community, leading to more sales?

I agree though, "it" won't have forged slugs. If the LSA in the CTS-V has hyper-u-explode-its, why would they change it for Camaro?

I was hoping the percentage of retards working there had gone down recently.

Either way, I promise a thread every two weeks (or whenever my schedule allows), castigating them PRIOR to the launch of "IT" to ensure they do not put crappy pistons into a factory FI car.

Hmmmm....

What about the con rods...

This may require a connecting rod thread also...

Sounds like an LSA might not be the best choice after all. First it's the pistons, then rods, what's next?

Hmmmm...

Crank should be OK... LSx cranks are usually pretty spiffy.

Exhaust shouldn't be a big deal...

Let's see...

What else...

OH! Gotta make sure not to do anything stupid with locking out the PCM.

All I got. Forged slugs and good rods and everything should be fine.

What I'm getting at, is that if you asking for different pistons and rods in the engine, then maybe it's not the right engine in the first place.

Both the pistons and rods are pretty near their power limits on the LSA.

I think everything 'cept the pistons and rods should be OK.

I think that there's probably as much of a chance of a different engine being used than those parts changing in the LSA.
