I would go for the LS7 for the reasons that every other person has said.

...Or the MB motor could be underrated. I doubt the STS-V is overrated, A) that really isn't GM's style and B) it was actually rated lower under the old SAE standard and revised under the latest one.
oh i have no doubt the MB motor makes a tough 470hp but still sits where it should at a mid 12. i dunno but when i see 470hp = 105mph compaiered to the mb with 10 more mph. that tells me the cars got no jam. i really wonder what the car lays down as far as real hp though.

well the origional point i was trying to ponder is, id take the n/a for sure. its tested and true. it seems if they did a charged motor id bet it'd be small displacement due to gas mileage. just got to look at the sts for that (est 14 / 20 mpg even with such a small motor) and i dont want a small disp. boost assisted motor like that. id rather have the n/a and displacement. plus like others said, a 427 camaro would be so sweet and nostalgic

It cracks me up to see that people still think that a smaller displacement FI motor will get worse gas mileage than a big displacement N/A motor.

Re: LS7 vs. Supercharged LS2

I would personally get the LS7. For one i like the idea of having a N/A engine. Keeps me feeling like chevy and not a cobra. Second a supercharger is loud if its modded up it can take away from the sound of my sexy rumble. Three the LS7 is just badass. I would and will pay more for it and would never give it a seconds thought. The whole Gas Milage debate is just retarted if you ask me. Yeah gas costs alot but your buying a sports car so deal with it. It comes with the package and you should realse it before you get the Camaro. Give me displacment or give me death. LOL Flame away people

Why? Sometimes they do. It depends on the motor.

I'd rather see a turbo Camaro. Differentiation to the max, not much difference in cost over a blower I'd think ala $20k SRT-4 Neons. The top Camaro is going to cost $40-45k anyway so whats the difference?
