what engine options do you think Lutz has in mind.
what i mean is, if they go with a V6 and two V8s, are we talking along the lines of 5.3 style engine to fill the gap between the V6 and top model V8?

so we're talkin:
V6-275hp
V8-400hp
V8-475hp?
that's a hell of a jump from V6 to V8.

Re: Lutz, Camaro and global RWD....
I'm thinking the base V8 will have around 350. IMO, 400 is bit much to have in a base V8.
Look at what Ford is doing. You go 300HP GT, to the 475HP, and Ford will close the game will a ~380HP Boss.

Re: Lutz, Camaro and global RWD....
I dont think it is really all that much of a jump, when you consider that a 4th gen 3800 v6 car was rated at 200hp, and a z28 was rated at 305/310. That is a difference of 105/110hp, not too far off from the 125hp difference in this scenario. It just sounds like more because you are going form a 200 number to a 400 number.

Just admit it Lutz, the Camaro is on, the only thing stopping it is the weak *** interior shown on the concept.
Also the Camaro will start at more like $24k for a base vehicle. Me? Personally? After speaking with Mr. Berger (yes he did the Camaro Berger SS) I'd love to see the Turbo-Ecotec motor from the Solstice GXP in the car to keep it near $20k. It wouldnt be so bad to the 'normal' folk.

Josh, I honestly belive that you have drinking, cuase I know you didnt really say that you wanted a 4 cyl in a Camaro.
With that said, I will forgive you, and let you edit it later when you wake up.

with what lutz said about the enclave getting a 280-300hp v6... i think the v6 they put in the camaro should be ample...

Re: Lutz, Camaro and global RWD....
I dunno if the 3.6 DOHC engine will make it in there. It would be nice, but the cost of the V6 could rise. Instead of a 20-21k 3.9, we could see a 24k V6, but the power will be much higher.
What if there is a V6 that makes 300hp, and then a 395hp LS2 and then a 435hp L92 6.2?
