Has anyone taken delievery of a pre-ordered Camaro and found out the dealer jacked up the price? I ordered mine from Terry labonte Chevrolet in Greensboro, NC. This just happens to be a Rick Hendricks dealership. I was told the price should be around $33,600.00 out the door. 1SS/Jewel red/upgraded radio.

I have been visiting local dealership and found some willing to deal at MSRP.
If you live in the central Michigan area (Mt. Pleasant) there are a few I have found.
Jim Martin Chevrolet in Alma, MI will MSRP ALL cars. LT to 2SS. Every Camaro. The salesman I talked to also was very good. He told all he knew and even admited to not knowing everything about it. I informed him of this website and he was very appreciative as he wants to learn more. They have a 2LT/RS with the auto. He let me sit in it and even handed me the keys to start it up!
Also in Midland, MI Garber Chevrolet says they will do MSRP on everything and apply GMS and any other deals they can! They had a 1SS IOM w/black stripes they let me go in back and see. It was a pre-order and the salesman says they had a few allocations left. We talked for a while and he said they are against mark-ups and will not do it on these cars.
Just FYI for anyone who can use it.

I went by my local dealer yesterday to look at a shiny new black LT with the nicer aluminum wheels. Got mad when I seen the sticker on the window that said $5000 mark up. They wanted over $32K for a freakin LT.

I hope it sits.

I hope it sits as well as any of these cars that are marked up 1 cent above MSRP. Anybody would be an idiot to pay over MSRP for any car in my opinion. Remember when PT Cruisers came out in 2000? People were paying up to $10000 over sticker for them just to be able to ride around and say look at me I got mines first. Dealerships prey on peoples stupidity... 100 people may come along and look at the price and say not me but all they need is 1 sucker per car...

My dealer said no mark up. Then, while I was watching my car come off the transporter today, it happened. Two people were inside ordering new Camaros and one guy came up to my salesman and said"Is that his car, I will pay $10k over sticker for it" Salesman said "Sorry papers already signed" which was not true. Then, when we were doing the financing he said" I will not gouge people on these cars, that is why I am only charging you $2500 over sticker" WTF!!! I said. I also said, if you can't get me the loan then we have NO DEAL. I just wanted the car I ordered,, so I paid it and now it's all said and done.

Sucks.......at least I got MY car, and can afford it (sticker was $34,695)

I really feel for the people paying over sticker. It is only a matter of time before they are going for invoice/rebates. It may take a year before we see it. There will be plenty of upside down 3 year old Camaros.
