Minneapolis Auto Show
#2
Alright, just got back from the auto show so here is my review.
3 Camaro's on hand to sit in and play with.
Red 1SS Manual, now RS option
Silver Base Auto
Red Base Stick
Impressions. The seats in the 5th Gen are much more comfortable than my 4th Gen convertible. The layout of the dash and everything inside the cockpit was fine by me. I love that the ride height is higher than the 4th Gen. As a person a few months from 40 and needing a knee replacement the shorter I have to drop the better. The only drawbacks for me were the frontward visibilty and the blind spot on the drivers side. I am sure once you own one though these will go away once you find out how to adjust the mirrors etc. The blind spot really isn't a problem for me as I am going to get a convertible.
1SS Vs. Challenger Vs. Mustang
The Challenger reminded me of sitting in my Dodge Caravan. While it is nice and roomy, it is a damn big car. Reminds me on my 77 Bonneville that I used to have.
Mustang, overall you are getting what you paid for. It is nothing special and reminds me of the 4th Gen in some ways. I felt really cramped in it compared to the SS and R/T.
That is about all, any questions please fire away. Nothing much more to tell except the Camaro Rep was really informed and he said he checks this site often.
Pics to follow later if the wife did not delete them.
