more than one model of camaro?
Do you guys think there will be more than one version of the camaro like the mustang or will there only be one like Dodge?
Id prefer that they have a model to compete with all the mustangs, inluding the shelby!
what do you guys think?
or has chevy already said somthing about this

There always has been Z28/SS/IROC/RS/Berlinetta as models, as well as aftermarket Camaros, modified by Berger, Yenko and others. They have always been aimed squarely at the Mustang, so I don't think there will be any need to worry. Have faith.

They won't have to use as many variants as Ford. most of the mustangs can be lumped in at the GT level give or take a tiny bit. They only need three models...V6/regular V8 (400hp-450hp?), high end V8(550hp)

As someone stated, the Challenger is only going to be SRT8 for teh first few months to build excitement.
Then we will see V6 and RT models soon after.
Expect Camaro to come in more then one flavor.
In a related note, why dont people belive that this carwill come in more then one trim? Everyone I talk to says "wel they probably wont offer a V6" um ITS A MUSTANG FIGHTER!! This goes along the lines that they wont make one for under 40k, and some other folk lore....its annoying.

Well i think theyre gonna do at least one trim with stripes but i dont think they'll do much more than that. and whoever you talk to about V-6's is smoking somthing because a few of my friends are getting a mustang V-6 and im sure ford sells alot of them because of how affordable they are.
i think its gonna come down to look, affordability and reliability and in my mind i think Chevy does alot better job with all 3 of those. Just look at the Malibu the interior is on a Caddillac level and its half the price. and my dad had a 01 vette for 5 years put 110 thousand miles on it and NEVER had a single problem.
Ford better watch out!!!

My guess... and this is only a guess... GM will market the Camaro similarly to how they market other vehicles, although the "names" may change:
Base Camaro (similar to LS)
Camaro RS (similar to LT with optional V8)
Camaro SS
Camaro Z28 (similar to Corvette Z06)
However, the thing to keep in mind is that there will be a "comparable" Camaro at every level a Mustang currently exists.

Everyone has it mostly covered so far... Expect the Camaro to match up/compete with the Mustang. Also... you mention Dodge having only one model, but that is a marketing ploy for the first model year. Later this year you will see the competing models of the Challenger to match up w/ the available SRT8.
