Mine too.

To the OP, the Formula 350 was faster than the IROC .

Wrongo on that one. The IROC-Z was actually the lighter car with a better airbox that always got the Camaros 5-10 more HP over the Pontiacs. The Camaro GFX weigh essentially nothing if you've ever held them off of the car. But flip-up headlights, more bolstered seats, etc., actually do make a difference. The fastest Third Gen times usually came from the Z's with the Formulas not far behind.

I've always thought the Camaro interior looked overwhelmingly cheap and plasticy (sp?). I don't know how the Firebird was allowed better materials than the Camaro. If I were to rank them it would be Firebird, Mustang, and then the Camaro. I was looking at buying an LT1 SS (since it's my favorite of all the exterior designs) but I disliked the interior so much that I kept my Firehawk instead.

I hope the Camaro quality is better. I for one will bee parking my New Camaro right next to my Mustang....
You bought a used car with a relatively unknown history. Who know's how the previous owner treated it.

After owning a 305 TPI car (auto) I've never came close whooping up even stock 5.0's. Granted I never raced an auto equipped vert but still the best time with my modded 88 formula was a 14.8. Several buddies with 5.0's at the time were closer to the 14 flat mark.

In my real world experience I never saw a difference between the two models. You can't go by timeslips that vary by 1 or 2 tenths. Especially when tested by the usual car rags. Too many variable to make it anything other than a driver's race.
