You can see the mufflers in the unchanged image. The photoshop'ed image is a representation of what it would look like with a panel covering the mufflers.

i meant it in that it makes zero difference in finding a pump to fill up. it doesnt make it any harder (or easier).

arguably it could make it easier to have it on the passenger side

you won't have to worry about pulling up to close to the pump and thus not being able to open your door up all the way

And I suppose next we'll hear how the shifter should protrude through the drivers seat so we don't have to reach a few inches farther over to shift gears. And no buttons/controls on the dash, that's too far to reach, put em all on the steering wheel. Honestly, where will all of this whining about minor details end.

and fyi, there are a lot of cars, american and foreign, who have it on the passenger side.. i've been making an effort to look at other cars each time i go for a fillup..

Um, I the hell do. And frankly it is a bit of a pain to make sure you park in just the right spot to be able to swing a big coupe door even PARTLY open without hitting one of those darned safety posts around every pump. I definitely prefer to swing my door all the way open to get in/out, if nothing's in the way.
