New guy, long time camaro fan!
Just want to say hi....New to the site but not camaros! Like most of you, I am waiting for the new camaro to come out! I am on the buying list as well, and I cant wait!!!! I dont own a camaro right now, but my old cars were a black 94 Z28 auto, and a dark green Z28 manual. Both had a few mild mods, but the 97 was on of the best cars I ever had! I had cold air, headers, centerforce clutch, tune, throttle body, and 17x11s ZR1 wheels on the back! The car was just plan awsome! I miss having a camaro, and after I seen the new one at the chicago auto show I knew I had to buy it! Just wanted to let you guys know a bit about me, this seems like a cool site, looking foward to getting to know some of you.

Seems we are kinda in the same boat, my car right now is a 70 olds cutlass supreme. Built 455, ported edels, solid cam ect. Car runs 11s and is street driven. I love my olds but its getting sold for the new muscle! I hate to do it, but that new camaro just cant be passed up! I plan on getting a black 6 speed, an with tires, headers and a cam, you got a VERY fast daily driver These new LS motors are very impressive!

I also had a '97 Z (in addition to first a '93 Z & now a '02 B4C). The good thing was my '97 was one of the most fun cars I had (behind my '85 SSP Mustang). The bad is that my '97 was also one of the worse cars I've ever owned. Even more telling is I bought that car a year or so old. I bought my 2002 at 110K miles.
Ironically, the '02 is so far the most trouble free car I've ever owned. Save for GM's Crap-o-matic® short life power window motors, that measures it's lifespan in months and costs half a grand each at Chevy dealers to replace, and the LS1 gas motor that thinks it's a diesel, the car's been kosher.
