sit in the car first. if you dont like it then, at least you've made an informed decision.

I haven't been up to speed on Camaro news for the last 2 weeks or so. I have to say -- it's unbelievable how the car is an echo of threads past about features, shapes, etc that we were looking for.

In multiple threads I remember reading (before pre-prod photos surfaced) that we wanted an Iroc-ish wheel. We got it. We wanted a robust shifter--much like the heavy round ball in the manual cars. And the production auto shifter appears to be a big heavy round ball. We wanted a integrated keyfob and remote start. Voila. Gages on the console -- yup, they're there! There's even a multi-function display between the speedo and tach.

Oh, and BTW, Jason E is going to give birth to a brick when he sees that there's buttons on the end of the wiper stalk Is he even on this board anymore?

Finally!! The answer I've been seeking for so long has been answered. So manumatic is a car that is an automatic but has a drive/gear on the shifter labeled M so the car can essentially become a manual? Do I have that right?

But on getting on topic with the interior. At first I was wondering what was the fuss everyone was making and I was wondering where all the debate was coming from. But after taking a good hard look at these pics and looking at the others posted here are my thoughts on a few things.

1. Where the cup is sitting, if you ask me it doesn't appear to be a cup holder. It looks like a storage space for spare change and what not. Although a thought just occurred to me. So maybe I'm wrong.
2. The two big D-pads on the dash(if we want to call them that) may actually be the ac controls for the driver and passenger sides instead of controls for the actual radio. Ya know what I'm saying?
3. Someone earlier mentioned how the red light may have been a KITT reference or a reflection. My opinion/thought. What if that is actually something under the hood that we can see through the vent on the hood. Meaning that the vent is actually going to functional a la ram air. Am I right on that point? Or am I wrong or just down right crazy?

In any case I like what I'm seeing. It's been amazing to see the evolution of the Camaro from concept to a production model. Everytime I see it I can't help but smile and think of what the day will be like when these bad boys take the dealer show rooms and the streets by storm. I'm totally excited and on cloud 9 when it comes to this car. It has been a long wait, still some more waiting ahead. But with all the press and pics we've been seeing on this board I think the wait is going to be well worth it. So that's my two cents. Now I'm returning to my rock I crawled from under. Cyaz
