im putting on a cold air intake that gets me over 130hp.............its called PROCHARGER!!!!
I believe those are at the wheel. A Procharger? Sweet. I'd be affraid to do that to a brand new car with a warranty, but hey, if you can afford to do it.... hell yeah.

of course im going to have a "break in" period. but after that its getting blown. probably later this summer or next winter.ive waited long enough for this car and im not gonna wait another 3 years until my warranty expires. if something were to happen(knock on wood), i dont have a problem taking it in and paying to fix it.

im already on the list for the Pedders XA suspension, and when Borla gets their exhaust out this month ill be buying the catback and the headers from them. so theres a few warranty items already blown.

Sweet, that has to be intercooled for that kind of power.

I have the K&N CAI on my Charger and it sure feels like at least 21hp to my butt dyno.
If the stock intake is very restrictive then there is no reason that you could not gain that much with a free flowing COLD air intake. Look what a differrence just a lid made to LS1 Fbodies. I also have a 99 LS1 Trans Am and SLP claims 8-10hp for thier lid. http://www.ws6project.com/user_stor/...oducts_id=2520 That's JUST a lid, not a CAI. Not to mention that awesome sound you get with a CAI.
I still remain skeptical of 20hp. Most lids helped out by 5-7hp. Even if that is a rear wheel number you are only talking about a shade over 8hp at the flywheel. I guess we will have to wait for results.

Just curious...won't it hit 427 by just adding a better exhaust system?

the 426 isnt at the wheels. and by adding an exhaust and intake, you should add about 15-20hp to the wheels.

Anyone seen an after market cold air induction yet with a horsepower increase rating? This would be a very quick way to pass the 427hp mark.

GM Performance Parts is offering a CAI, a catback exhaust, and shorty headers.

I'd be shocked if any of those didn't yield at least 1hp increase over stock.

Does anyone know if the CAI is an actual CAI or just a chromed airbox with a K&N filter in it?

Found this over at Camaro5.com

This is a speed shot of an ls3 vette with headers, tune, and cold air intake that made 450 rwhp. Just think what the SS will be like with some of these mods.

dead link.^^^^ 450 hp from a intake headers and a tune? the car has 430 stock(not at the wheels). which would be around 390 maybe to the wheels. probably less. i doubt it got 60hp from those upgrades. i have never gotten that much power out of my cars by doing intake and headers and a tune. the only time i got that much power from those upgrades was when i had a supercharger. all those items sure help it breath better.
