New Transformers article
Writer "compares" 1974 Camaro to Concept Camaro, but you can tell she doesn't really know what she's talking about (a 1974 Camaro didn't have a hood scoop!!!!).

I'd like to see how they transform the car from the old one to the new one, without it being retarded.
For another, the movie uses the latest graphic, computer-animated detail to visualize the old Camaro transforming into the Camaro concept in a way that no automaker press conference or ad campaign ever could. Talk about a powerful way to link the evolution of the upcoming Camaro to a Camaro of old and tie in the lengthy Camaro heritage.

Oops, Eric, you're correct, that's gotta be to what she's referring. Which, of course, as we all know, is aftermarket, not built by GM.

I meant the yellow 2nd Gen in the Trailer isn't a '74, not the generic picture that MSN has on their webpage.
Here's a quote from the MSN article:
But in the upcoming Transformers movie, the charismatic, handsome Bumblebee develops out of a lowly, beat-up, 1974 Camaro.

YOU BASTARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Still.... the kid in the movie must be a hell of a bodyman
I always thought it was really cheesy in the old herbie movies how he was ALWAYS trashed, yet was never trashed?
I guess the same goes for the Duke's General Lee.

next time try hiding it a little better...
i don't know why people keep saying this.. some article that didnt know what it was talking about said it and now everyone takes this as fact
unless somehow that article got ahold of a different script than the one that was leaked last year..
the script dated 2/28/2006 said this about how he goes from 2nd to 5th gen:
highlight below:
the girl comments on how crappy the 2nd gen is, crappy interior etc.. Bumblebee's feelings are hurt, he slams on his brakes and ejects them both from the car, then he scans a bunch of cars nearby and ends up upon a 5th gen, he picks the 5th gen, then simply reformats and changes himself to match the car he scanned, wala... now of course the girl thinks it's the coolest car in the world

The reviewer hasn't even seen the movie.
Here is a link to a thread on a 2nd Generation Camaro forum.....you can imagine how they felt.

My username on there is MarcZ.
I encourage you guys to rip her a new one, in a respectable manner so that it rings true, being that she is a writer (i think ). In other words, don't just flood her email with profanity and whatnot, make an intelligent reply on how much of an idiot she is.
annjo84@hotmail.com <-----writer's email.
It is so painfully obvious that the car is purposely meant to be a beat up version of it's former self, misalignment and all, to make a good contrast against the reborn Bumblebee, the 5th Gen Camaro. And I don't know this because the writers or director mentioned it as such or because I've read or follow the comics/cartoon series, I haven't it's just obvious.

I don't get why everyone on the other site is SO upset. I didn't read the review as needlessly bashing anything. If anything, it was very positive toward GM cars.
She was just pointing out the stark contrast between the styles of the 70's and today. Some of which were true, or I agree with myself.
Besides, she was comparing the movie cars, not the real thing...
